			One of the oldest emulators and still regularly updated, compatibility is high and has its correct palette (WinApe is off by its middle values being too low, dsp needs some slight tweaks). It has a Graphics Editor meaning that sprites can be ripped using this and because you can edit the tiles, it means games that use a black/same colour background can be ripped with this emulator making it an advantage to WinApe. Versions from late 2022 also support the + range and the GX4000 however it is more difficult to set up due to its WIP status and no easy cartridge support. It can also rip compressed sprites from Sorcery.

			CPCEC is an emulator that also contains ZXSEC and CSFEC, it is easy to use supporting tapes, discs and cartridges. Compatibility is high, on par with or better than CapriceForever with bonus features such as tape speed up and able to use a virtual joystick without the spacebar conflict. It has a graphics viewer that can be activated by enable debug and press W. Unlike CapriceForever and WinApe, the graphics are the correct size and do not require resizing. + and GX4000 hardware sprites however only load whatever is on screen and the palette cannot be edited. This causes problems with games that use black and have a black background.
