QuickBMS is an open source script based file extractor and reimporter. It is compatible with the BMS language and supports a lot of compression, encryption and other relevant algorithms. The tool as well as its documentation and a variety of BMS scripts is available for Windows and Linux (requires manual compilation) at aluigi.altervista.org.
