Ripping Tools

Maptapper

Maptapper is a Windows application used to rip graphics and maps from Amiga games. It can also read Atari ST games and has rudimentary support for Commodore 64 games as well. Both the official website and the built-in help file have a basic tutorial on how to rip sprites from Amiga games.

Suggested Emulators

WinUAE

http://www.winuae.net/

WinUAE is currently the most well-known Amiga emulator, capable of running many games released onto the system. While the large number of options outside of Quickstart may be imposing to new players, most games will work on the default settings with the only caveats being the requirement of BIOS ROMs for the many hardware variations available. If a game doesn't work, it can be run under a more or less powerful model or the second disk drive can be disabled.
