The MCLevel file corresponds of the compressed(maybe GZipped) Minecraft Classic level written there using java [htthttp://download.oracle.com/javase/1.4.2/docs/api/java/io/ObjectOutputStream.html ObjectOutputStream]. It can be read by java ObjectInputStream if you have got the right class. Else, the InvelidClassException will be thrown.
